Cats fall to Tigers in first loss

The Baker County Wildcats faced off with the Jackson Tigers last Friday night in a game that had huge implications for district standings. The Cats were 5 and 0 and looking to stay ahead of their district competition. Jackson was out to keep their playoff hopes alive, after dropping an earlier game to Bishop Kenny.

A road more traveled

EUGENE A t 11:35 a.m. Friday, Wendel Wilkes drove the charter bus into the parking lot at Sheldon High School and waited for his passengers. Wilkes, 59, a professional bus driver with Experience Oregon, has seen plenty during his career.
